Adventures of Penny, Part VI

Another short addition to the Penny story. Enjoy!

In the meantime, Galadana was pacing in his tiny house, the thick smoke of freshly burnt incense hanging heavily in the air. His mind was filled with thoughts from Penny's visit, and how he wished it had gone differently... and how he wished that she didn't hate him for what he had told her. Deep down inside, though, Galadana knew that he had no choice but to tell her, and he knew that Penny was stronger now because of it.
The current problem, however, was much more important, Galadana knew... And he knew that there must be something he could dream up to help.

Penny and Hazel stood completely still, facing the dark figure on the other side of the alley in a strange sort of a standoff. Without perceptibly moving, Penny and Hazel shifted their eyes over to look at each other, and both of them got the unpleasant sensation of seeing complete uncertainty in one another's eyes.

A little bit more rapidly than before, the dark figure resumed walking toward Penny and Hazel. The click-clack of his shoes now echoed loudly and gave the mysterious person an aire of power.
Hazel felt her breath get quicker and her heart rate quicken. Gosh this is uncomfortable. She thought to herself. Then, Penny spoke.
"We're here to ask you for help!" said Penny.
The figure didn't respond, but instead just kept on walking in his slow methodical way. Hazel couldn't even tell if he had heard Penny. Maybe zombie ninjas are deaf! she hypothesized.
He was now close enough to see his features: very tall, and very pale. He had a perfectly symmetrical face with soft features and deep, dark eyes, and from underneath the billowy brown coat he was wearing, it appeared that he had a very slim physique. He made eye contact with Penny without even bothering to look over at Hazel, and his face was completely blank and expressionless. He doesn't fear us, thought Hazel in dismay, he isn't the least bit afraid of us!
"Yes." said the man, with a clear, loud voice. "I know what you want."
"But.... how?" asked Hazel, in shock.
Barely allowing her to finish her question, the man responded. "Galadana."
